The Week Past ...

The Week Past....

The riots have stunned and frightened me as much as anyone else.   And the embarrassment that orders given to police were to stand there and do nothing!  Hopefully the lesson will be a turning point for the Uk and children will soon have less rights, and England will have order and control, teachers and police regain respect rather than kids reciting their rights.   Peterborough, the city where I work, had more police on patrol by day.  I backed up all data at work .. just in case.   I was thankful to return to my home .. a quiet rural village in Norfolk.  But boy, the slightest noise outside unnerved me as my imagination ran riot!  I worried about hubby working his nightshift in Peterborough town. I worried about Mum and sister who live locally.

Temperatures reached 28 degrees in out over packed, small working office.  Oh well, at least better than 33 degrees it has been. Talk about tonic of helping you forget and practically fall asleep!

DL flyers and a poster designed for Bath Bomb Creations forthcoming wedding fayre at Kirton and East of England Showground were finalised.   It goes to print now ....

Hubby has been busy making plum jam, plum sauce, onion chutney.  All to be self-sufficient and save cash.

Saturday night we made wedding favour boxes .. well, gluing them together!  Decorating comes next.  These will be sample boxes on display at the wedding fayre, yikes!

Whipped up a new post for Bath Bomb Creations  .. you know, Christmas and a 5% discount offer ... posting this end of August along with reviews that bloggers tried recently.  approached the local Post Ofice Stores and community shop about selling the smaller gifts.... Post Office said yes!  Community Shop has samples to look at.  All sale or return!!

Harvester ... met up with best mate Sue  for dinner and a gossip as we do once a month. Good to meet up and have a riot moan and groan!

Scrapbooking ... yep begun today and all went well considering I didn't know what I was doing!  Need to buy more embellishments me thinks...

Gift Bags ... er, why oh why did I not pay more attention at school!  Got a lot of practice to do.  Shame to let all my lovely fabrics gain dust.  Back to the sewing machine next weekend...

Tomorrow ... this weekend has flown.  It's back to the 45 min journey one-way from home to work tomorrow.  It shatters me ... and my purse.  £134.9 a gallon!!!

Lost and Found Pets Worldwide .. added two cats in the last week. It breaks my heart.

Signing off ... hubby is in bed because he has a night shift and on Sky Planner is an episode of Medium ... see ya x
